2020 New YEAR | New ADVENTURES

Dec 28, 2019 | Lifestyle, Musings

2020 is almost here and to say I’m excited, would be, we’ll, quite the understatement.

2019 for me was a year of growth. Personally, professionally, and all the above. I gained new friends, let other friends go, had my BEST. YEAR. EVER. as a real estate agent (HUGE thanks to my clients–past, current and future. SO thankful for y’all, like truly, you’re the best), made some big decisions as a family (more on that soon!), but most of all, learned so much about myself. Some was forced on me, some was my inner tides pushing through. I was so blessed to have another crazy year of fun travels as well. I’ve had so many ideas in my head circling for YEARS, and I feel like 2019 put me in a place to finally push myself to start to see things come to fruition. I attended the RISE Business Conference in Charleston and I felt like that was the push I needed to finally make shit happen.

We bought a mountain home/investment home in 2019 and turned it into a short term rental (click HERE for info on our rental, and HERE to book it!). We had ZERO clue all that would go into making that happen, but now they we’re through the storm, we are loving short term rental life. We love that we’re able to escape to the mountains for a few days with family and friends, but we’re also so excited that we’re able to share our little slice of the Rocky Mountains with others…and oh yeah…make some income in the process. We would LOVE to be able to purchase more homes as short term rentals. I’m thinking a beach home is next on our list. Or somewhere in the South–Georgia, Nashville, shores of Alabama–I’m not picky 🙂

Travel was a huge part of my 2019. And, I’m not upset about that at all. I was able to go BACK to Nashville (seriously one of my favorite cities, ever), South Carolina, Florida, STL and lots of camping trips.

2020 for travel will not disappoint, either! We’re heading out on a Disney Cruise in May, and Mexico in June to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary (that sounds like forever, and it kind of is, but good grief, he’s my favorite). Hoping to do some smaller getaways, too, like back to our favorite lake spot in Georgia, showing Steve and kids around Nashville, hopefully back to STL and who knows where else. I need more white sand and salt water in my life, too. NYC is top of my list for the holidays next year!

What else? So many fun things coming up. One BIG ANNOUNCEMENT for the Watne Family. WE ARE MOVING! AH! I can’t put into words how excited, stressed, pumped, anxious, nervous but most of all BLESSED for what’s next. More on this later, but we’re building a home and I can’t wait to share with you all the things. Stay tuned! Also, that means we’ll be selling our home we’ve lovingly remodeled over the last two years. Bittersweet for our family for sure, but so excited for our new chapter (and more projects for own my Chip Gaines!).

More fun, less stress. More just doing, more following your heart. More kindness, more forgiveness. More giving my all to those who matter most. More kicking some ass as a wife, mom, friend, sister, daughter, aunt, cousin, realtor, boss lady, vanilla latte lover, home decor enthusiast. More blog, more sharing, more real life. More travel, more just going with the flow, and did I say less stress? More love. MORE LIFE. More going after those dreams. I’m so excited to take my business to the next level, continue to help others on the journey to their real estate dreams, focus on the blog, travel, and more travel, decorating a NEW home and a few more big dreams. Let’s do this!

Thanks for following along on this journey. I love you all and CANNOT wait for 2020! Cheers to YOU and all that is to come!

XO

Lindsay
